  • 2 lbs beef chuck, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons cumin powder
  • 2 teaspoons coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef with salt and half of the vinegar for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Blend onion, garlic, ginger, remaining vinegar, sugar, paprika, cumin powder, coriander powder, and cinnamon into a smooth paste.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat and sauté the spice paste for about 5 minutes.
  4. Add marinated beef to the pot and stir well to coat.
  5. Cover and simmer on low heat for 1.5 to 2 hours until tender.
