  • Chicken breast
  • Fresh broccoli
  • Heavy cream
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Garlic cloves
  • Butter

  1. Cook the tortellini according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
  2. Steam broccoli florets for 3-4 minutes until bright green and crisp-tender; plunge into ice water to stop cooking, then drain.
  3. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear chicken for 6-8 minutes until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat, add minced garlic, and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream while whisking constantly.
  5. Gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese until smooth; season with salt and pepper. If too thick, add reserved pasta water as needed.
  6. Combine chicken, cooked tortellini, and broccoli in the skillet; toss gently to coat with sauce. Serve immediately.
