  • 1 medium onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 6 chicken hamburger buns
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 8 slices American cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add diced onion and minced garlic; sauté until softened.
  4. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine torn hamburger buns with melted butter and sesame seeds.
  6. In a baking dish, layer half of the bun mixture, half of the beef mixture, half of the special sauce mix, and half of the cheddar cheese. Repeat the layers.
  7. Top with American cheese slices and bake covered for 25 minutes; uncover and bake an additional 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
